Taylor and the Pretty Noises are a classic Rock ‘n’ Roll band that really takes you back to your primitive love of rock music. With a simple guitar, bass and drums set up, Taylor and the Pretty Noises can transport you to California during the late 1960s when Rock ‘n’ Roll was raw and untamed.
Despite their classic Rock ‘n’ Roll feel, my immediate thought when I began listening to the track, ‘Surf Hotel’, was how much the clean riff resembled the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, but that is by no means a complaint. ‘Surf Hotel’ is able to reference that Californian vibe that pretty much defines the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, while keeping the style that Taylor and the Pretty Noises have perfected. ‘Surf Hotel’ is definitely one of the standout songs of the album; that Hendrix-inspired riff at 3:58 is all I need to hear in life to be happy!
Taylor and the Pretty Noises’ album is out now and is available to stream on Spotify.
