Today we are SUPER excited to premiere the debut track from commercial indie-rock act Ben Maier.

Ben’s first ever release ‘Power Energy’ is a love song come anthem that was produced by Jamie Verney.

We first of all loved the guitar, then the voice and then when the chorus came in we were blown away. This is a really great song that you could just imagine being placed in movies, TV shows and all over the radio.

To support the release, Ben will be playing a free full band show on 18th April at The Lock Tavern in North London.

Moving back to his native London after years spent writing in Northern Ireland, Ben found himself in a city where he felt both at home and a stranger. He returned for a sense of belonging to the music and culture of his youth: the un-ironic emotionality, bombastic ambition and timeless songwriting of late eighties/early nineties pop icons. All seen through the lens of a distant imagined America: neon-lit truck stop diners and starlit desert grandeur with LA at its heart. He began to record a series of voice note demos, shaped as much by his musical upbringing as by the sights and sounds of the city around him. These became heavyweight songs of triumph over adversity, romantic and direct, shot through with a universal yearning.
